Rachael Battiata

Bio

Ms. Battiata began her teaching career in 2010 and joined the JAG NJ team in 2025 as the JAG Specialist at Pleasantville High School. Prior to entering education, she worked in human resources for a Fortune 500 company, but was drawn to education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Stockton University, a Juris Doctor from Rutgers University–Camden, and an MBA from Drexel University. Ms. Battiata is certified in special education, elementary education, middle school mathematics, and comprehensive business, and she also holds a teacher leader endorsement, BACE certification, principal certification, and supervisor certification. She has taught at Lindenwold High School and Salem County Vocational Technical School before joining Pleasantville. Drawn to the JAG model because of its strong connection to real-world coaching and career preparation, Ms. Battiata leverages her HR background to advise and guide students in preparing for future employment opportunities.

Fun fact: She brought home a 9-week-old mixed-breed puppy named Reggie from the JAG National Training Seminar!
